During the training weekend, participants will typically cover a range of topics such as navigation, campcraft, first aid, and teamwork through practical activities and exercises. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions, clarify any doubts, and practice their skills in a supervised and supportive environment.

After the training weekend, participants will have time to plan and prepare for the assessed expedition, during which they will need to demonstrate the skills they have learned. The assessed expedition typically involves a two-day hike, during which participants will navigate a pre-determined route and camp overnight in a designated area.

Throughout the entire process, participants are expected to show a high level of self-reliance and responsibility, as well as demonstrate effective teamwork and communication skills. By successfully completing the Bronze DofE program, participants can gain valuable skills, confidence, and experience that will serve them well in their future endeavours.
