Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award

Your silver award will usually take 6 months or 12 months if you have not completed your bronze award, the volunteering section takes 6 months to complete and the skills and physical are 3 months for one and 6 months for the other and the expedition is 3 days and 2 nights. it is possible extend your skills, physical and volunteering sections from your bronze award however it is preferable to learn a new set of skills etc, not only will this help boost your CV and university applications but it will give you the opportunity to learn new and exciting life and social skills. the terrain for the silver award should be unknown to you prior to the expedition and therefore is more of a challenge than bronze as well as being a longer final expedition.
